While Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany, is primarily known for its beer, it also offers a fantastic musical experience.

Grab a stein of beer, join in the communal singing and dancing and join in with the lively folk music that fills the festival tents. Another incredible musical experience in Morocco is the Fez Sacred Music Festival. Nestled within the ancient and labyrinthine streets of Fez, Morocco, lies a remarkable celebration of music, spirituality and cultural diversity—the Fez Sacred Music Festival. A Musical Journey to Salzburg: The Sound of Music Fan's Dream Trip
For fans of the iconic film "The Sound of Music," Salzburg, Austria, is at the very heart of the beloved musical. Located in the stunning Austrian Alps, Salzburg offers a picturesque backdrop that transports visitors into the world of the Von Trapp family. This film is still near the top of my favourites list and I was lucky enough to be taken there on a family holiday when I, and my siblings, were children.
You can hear classical melodies wafting through the air as street musicians serenade passers by, creating an enchanting ambiance.
Upon arriving in Salzburg, you'll instantly feel the enchantment of the city that served as the setting for many of the film's most memorable scenes.
After checking in to your hotel, I recommend heading straight to Mirabell Gardens, where Maria and the Von Trapp children famously sang "Do-Re-Mi" while dancing around the garden's iconic Pegasus Fountain.
Dedicate a day to a guided "Sound of Music" tour. These tours are designed for fans and take you to the film's key locations, both in the city and the surrounding countryside. You'll visit the Nonnberg Abbey and stop at Leopoldskron Palace, the setting of the Von Trapp family home.
Tours include a trip to Mondsee, a charming town where the wedding scene was filmed. Here, you can explore the picturesque Mondsee Cathedral, where the movie's wedding of Maria and Captain Von Trapp took place.

For classical music fans, visit one of the historic concert halls for a taste of Salzburg's musical legacy beyond "The Sound of Music."
