Egypt is perfect for...

Diving Enthusiasts

With miles of coral reef, crystal blue waters and incredible marine life, Egypt is famous for having some of the best diving and snorkelling spots on the planet. Whether you're a beginner or more experienced diver, you'll easily find a diving school as there are many throughout the country to choose from.

Beach lovers

Egypt fails to disappoint with stunning beaches; stretches of fine sand, turquoise waters and glorious weather to bask in. There will be something for everyone, calm, safe waters for family trips, surfing and water sports for the adventurous or serenity, for those wishing to simply relax and listen to the sound of the waves.

CULTURE VULTURES

If sitting around the pool or lazing on the beach isn't your thing, or you fancy immersing yourself in Egypt's ancient culture, here's some ideas of activities you could add on to your holiday itinerary:

A Cruise on the River Nile

A popular option for an Egyptian holiday is a Nile Cruise and stay. You'll get to float along in luxury and take in the many wonders of the River Nile. Cruises operate weekly, (Red Sea Holidays) all year round, and include an expertly guided itinerary with 10 FREE excursions. You will explore the major sights, from Luxor and the magnificent city of Thebes and Valley of the Kings, on to the unusual double temple of Kom Ombo, and Edfu – one of the best preserved temples in Egypt – before reaching Aswan and its spectacular High Dam, the starting point for the return journey. For a more intimate experience, you can opt to take a felucca (small Egyptian boat) and take in the Nile wonders as you float along.

The Pyramids of Giza

No trip to Egypt would be complete, for a true culture vulture, without having visited one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World (and the only one left standing), The Great Pyramids of Giza. Towering tall in their absolute awesomeness, you'll be left awestruck at the spectacular sight of the pyramids and learning about their ancient history - built in the early 26th century BC during a period of around 27 years. Forming part of the Giza Pyramid Complex, and located in Greater Cairo, you'd be best to book an organised tour or better yet, a private flight with expert guide to take you on a personalised trip of a lifetime. You'll also find the Great Sphinx and the Solar Boat Museum in the vicinity.

Red Sea Scuba Diving

Bursting with vibrant colours, aquatic life and schools of fish variations, Egypt's reefs offer perfect calm waters for scuba diving with clear visibility and instagram-able underwater photography to be taken, whether it be ancient wrecks, reefs, pinnacles or walls - there is something for every level of diver. Many diving spots have access to some of Egypt's well-know historical sites, making it easy to combine a dive trip with a dash of culture. With Egypt being a world-renowned hot spot for diving, you'll easily find a diving school there.
